Pair some iconic iron with some legendary beauties and you have a potent combination – a “Bombshell”.

In this case, the “Bombshell” is the combination of four of Hollywood’s most famous beauties elaborately captured on the gleaming metal of a Harley-Davidson.  The “Bombshell”, as it is appropriately named, is the collaborative effort by renowned artist Monte Moore and Blacktop Choppers both of Denver, CO. 

The beauties…well, they don’t get more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, and Grace Kelly.  The iron doesn’t get more American than a Harley-Davidson.

The highly intricate paint job on the Harley features six detailed illustrations of the four different “bombshells” of the silver screen.  The tank features two portraits each of Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner. The front fender has a classy vision of Rita Hayworth, and the rear fender shows the timeless Grace Kelly.

The level of detail drawn by Mr. Moore is usually seen on the walls of a fine art gallery and not on the sculpted steel of a cycle.  In just the last few years Monte Moore has begun using fenders and gas tanks as his newest canvas after a highly acclaimed career in the fantasy and pin-up art world.  Moore’s work has been licensed by the likes of Lucasfilm Ltd, Coors, Topps, Playstation, Marvel Comics, and the U.S. Marine Corps.

The iron for Mr. Moore’s works is a customized 1976 Harley-Davidson.   Matt Huntley of Blacktop Choppers not only restored this bike from top to bottom, but also added some unique custom features.  For the complete retro look, he added beautiful black spoke wheels accented by classic white wall tires.  He fabricated custom pipes that were painted flat black and wrapped in heat tape for a complete old style look.  The blacked out front end and matching hand controls by Perse Performance are a great addition as well.  A classic Goodson air cleaner accents the totally rebuilt S&S 93-inch stroker motor for great looks, power, and rumble.  The bike retains its heritage with a functional kick start (an electric start was installed for convenience).
